Rules of Civility by Amor Towles
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Excellent story, slow to start
I picked up this book years ago and only made it to page 24 before setting it aside. But I’m glad I did because at a younger age I wouldn’t have appreciated the fascinating characters, the deep feeling of loss that necessarily leads to human growth, and ultimately acceptance of the circumstances life hands us. The only fault I see is that this story may seem slow to start but don’t let that deter you. Keep reading because it’s the journey of the story that makes this one a gem.
