The Weaver’s Daughter by Sarah E. Ladd
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This is a great story that was not as predictable as most love stories, which I appreciate. It gives an interesting look into a type of society as well as a type of industry of the past, another refreshing angle on the 19th century love story. The prose flow well and the story moves along “gently.” At times it felt a bit slow, though it was not problematic enough for me to quit reading. The dialogue and inner thoughts are balanced well with action and activity, but if you are used to action packed novels I would encourage you to just keep reading this one!
